Web Site Design Process:

The web site development process can also be divided into different life-cycle steps.

Our Website Development Process

1We will make sure you fully understand our approach to creating your website so it is successful for you! Feel free to ask questions at any time. Using our processes outline below we develop web sites on time and to the complete satisfaction of our clients.

Remember if Fab Web Designs does not get you a page 1 or 2 listing on Yahoo, Google or MSN we will refund 20% of the fee you paid us. We are that confident of our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) expertise!

Phase I – Website Information Gathering & Research

1 Phase 1 of your Website project is information gathering and research. For us to build the best web site possible for you we need to learn more about your business, what are your business needs, who is your target audience, your expectations of what the Website will do, what content you want included in your website. This is accomplished by your completion of our Gathering Requirements.

Phase II – Estimate and Contract

2Based on conversations and/or emails about what you would like for a web site, we will provide a clear estimate of the cost. There will no surprises, no hidden fees, nothing that you don't see in the estimate, unless at some point you decide to add more pages, or some significant amount of images. And then those too will be estimated clearly. If you accept the estimate or want to go to Contract, we will begin work immediately and start step III.

Note: 50% payment is due for contract work over $1000. The balance is due after going into Production.

Phase III – Keyword Research, Website Architecture and Design

2The next phase is the finalization of your Website architecture (site map) and the design of several unique prototypes of your Website. This includes mock-ups of navigation, content and graphical placeholders. You will receive several different comps from which to choose from if requested. We will discuss the skeleton pages you like best in detail and, with this as a base, you can make changes, add pages, change colors, etc. Things like changing a menu item name, or contact information, or content copy, are included.

The goal of this phase is for you to select the comp that is closest to what you had in mind. From there we can make additional changes until you are completely satisfied with the overall look and feel of your new Website design. In extremely rare cases, additional comps are required and can be provided for an extra fee.

Logo design plus great website design and content development are also performed during this phase. Content is king on the Internet. Without it your site will not be indexed by the search engines. To understand more about what we mean, click here.

Phase III – Website Development, Content Development and SEO Optimization

3After selecting the chosen prototype, we will code the site and incorporate the content and graphics into the new design. During this process we will create a style guide that will be used throughout the site to ensure the content is delivered in a clean and consistent manner compatible with the most popular browsers. The site will be temporarily hosted on a testing serer and available for you to view. Throughout the development process, you are able to see the progress and request any minor changes you might like.

Phase IV – Website Deployment, Link Building and Report Analysis

4One last approval from you and we are ready to launch your Website. But not until we give your new site the "white glove" test to ensure everything is functioning as planned, every link is linked and every word is spell-checked. After this final step and upon receipt of payment, we will then make the site live on your hosting space for the entire world to see!

Oh! Your Domain Name

14

If you already have one, great. If not we can give you advice about the ones you are considering and we can also register it for you. (You can use the www.1and1.com or www.godaddy.com to see if the one you want is available.) If you do not have a domain name, we include registration for one year in the estimate you receive. If you also need hosting, we can help with that as well.
